Dr. Ajith Prasad is presently the Chief Finance Officer of Janata Shikshana Samiti, Group of Institutions, Dharwad. He is also discharging duties as the principal of Shri Manjunatheshwara Institute of UG and PG Studies.
Dr. Ajith Prasad has Masters degree in History and Economics. He obtained Ph.D in History from Karnataka University. He joined the JSS College in 1973. Since then, he has not looked back. Dr. Ajith Prasad is also the co-ordinator of the IGNOU study centre. He is an active member in many a forums. On the academic front, after assuming charge, the JSS scaled new heights and was accredited at the A level by NAAC. He has been the man behind many developmental activities in the JSS.
Other than being occupied with the rigmarole of the duties of JSS Dr. Ajith Prasad has taken keen interest in modulating the functioning of the school in the JSS group. He is always at hand to advise, guide and help the teachers in sorting out problems. He is known for planning and adopting novel methods in making the educational institution ‘totally self sufficient’.
